Irith and Sam have been married for 40 years and have a wonderful loving family of two daughters, one son, and four grandsons. With their children they have traveled the world and lived in England and Germany as well as in Pennsylvania, Virginia, North Carolina, and Southern California. In every place they have made numerous friends and their home was always the hub of activity to many social events. With the kitchen as the house center of gravity, friends and family always gathered to prepare and enjoy elaborate and cheerful dinner parties.

Sam was a College Professor for some twenty-five years teaching Textile Engineering and Technology. He wrote a number of textbooks and educated generations of undergraduate and graduate students. Although he now devotes his time to Sedona Views and Boots and Saddles, he still (rarely) consult to companies developing textile components that are implanted into the human body. Sam is also a chef that greatly enjoys cooking for his guests. His breakfast creations are unique and as he puts it "at our Sedona bed and breakfast I will not feed my guests anything they can order at Denny's".

Irith is an Interior Designer and finds a lot of pleasure in decorating the Inns and taking care of all the unique touches that combine the flavor of the Old West with the comfort and luxury you come to expect. Irith is also an artist creating three dimensional wall art made of silk and other fine fabrics. Irith undertook a great project in late 2006 when she design, built, and decorated the new wing of Boots and Saddles Bed and Breakfast. Irith has just completed the renovation, and re-designing of Sedona Views Bed and Breakfast.

Candyce, our dedicated and caring Inn-Keeper is also a world traveler. As the daughter of a Navy officer she lived in many countries around the world. Candyce is a talanted artist that works in different media. She now invests most of her free time creating delicate and intricate works in ceramics. She loves to use Raku techniques that produce unexpected brilliant glazes. Candyce works side by side with Irith on keeping the B&Bs in perfect shape, and with Sam on creating these sumptuous breakfasts. When Candyce is baking the daily bread it seems to rise a little higher...
